Community Hospital Auxiliary

The Community Hospital Auxiliary is a volunteer organization dedicated to community health care in Coloma, Hartford and Watervliet and surrounding areas.
At Community Hospital, volunteers help to provide quality customer service. For the volunteer, the experience can be one of continued learning and personal gratification. Some of the services that volunteers provide to Community Hospital included:
You may also choose to become involved in other volunteer activities such as clerical support for hospital departments or fund raising assistance. Various fundraising activities are held thoughout the year and proceeds are donated for hospital projects.
 Chapel
The Chapel is located on the first floor of the Hospital, at the opposite end of the hallway from the emergency room. The Chapel, a quiet, sacred space for personal meditation, reflection, prayer and is open and available 24 hours a day. All are invited to use the chapel at any time.
The Chapel has been comfortably decorated and is maintained by the Community Hospital Auxiliary.
How can you become a hospital volunteer?
The Auxiliary is open to both men and women who have a genuine interest in patient care, their communities, and Community Hospital. There are three steps to follow to become a hospital volunteer:
- Call the Auxiliary Department at Community Hospital and request an application.

When your completed application is received, you will be contacted by the Auxiliary Coordinator and scheduled for an interview. At this interview your interests and availability will be determined. You will also be scheduled for an orientation program.

Attending an orientation program will acquaint you with the hospital, policies and procedures for volunteers, and specific activities.
