New Coloma Doctor Offers Same Day Appointments
Coloma, MI – Coloma Medical Center welcomes a new family doctor, Bridget Reidy, MD. Dr. Reidy is a family physician with more than 20 years experience in caring for patients of all ages. Dr Reidy began seeing patients at Coloma Medical Center in October.
“I’m pleased to be here and I’m really looking forward to getting to know the people of Coloma and the surrounding area,” Reidy said. “This seems like a great community that still has a ‘small-town feel’ that I so much enjoy.”
Dr. Reidy is a graduate of Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, and completed a three-year residency program in family medicine at Marquette General Hospital in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. For two years following graduation, she served as a family physician for the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Tribal Clinic. She has been in practice in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area for much of the past 10 years.
“As a family doctor, my practice philosophy includes caring for the whole person – meaning an individual’s emotional health and not just their physical health. To do this, good communication with each patient is vital,” she says. “A patient is the most important part of a health care team. I want each of my patient’s to feel comfortable and open to sharing all of his or her health care concerns with me”.
Dr. Reidy is board-certified in family practice and palliative medicine. Palliative medicine is a recognized medical specialty with a goal of lessening the pain and severity of symptoms related to a chronic medical condition. Her areas of special interest include senior health care and palliative medicine. Dr. Reidy is currently welcoming new and patients at Coloma Medical Center.
